Your Story. Your Stage. Orlando’s New Elite Live Storytelling Competition

One stage. 10 storytellers. 7 minutes each. One chance to capture the audience.

One winner.

Story Circle Live is more than an event - it’s a story battle.

Each storyteller steps into the focal point — the heart of the stage, inspired by those rare spaces where sound feels sharpest and your own voice comes alive.

It’s not about perfection, but about presence. For seven minutes, the spotlight is yours.

No notes. No props. Just you and your story.

Make the audience lean in and you could win.

What kind of story can I tell?

No one likes rules - but we have a few simple guidelines to help you bring the right story to the stage.

It must be true. This is your story. Others may appear in it, but there has to be a reason why only you can tell it.

Why 7 minutes? Long enough for an intro, scene, conflict, and resolution — but short enough to keep the audience hanging on every word.

You don’t have to use all 7 minutes.

It must fit the theme. Each Story Battle has a theme, but they’re intentionally broad to spark creativity.

Stories are usually in the first person. You’re not a narrator — you’re the main character.

It must make us feel. Whether it’s funny, sad, inspiring, scary — or all of the above — the goal is connection.

It must be told, not read. Stories are told without notes - but don’t worry, practice will make it natural.

How does a Story Battle work?

  1. Register to Tell a Story: Sign up to claim your place. Registration keeps the lineup balanced and gives us a chance to share what to expect on the night.

  2. Book an Event: Choose the date and location that works for you. Invite your friends — you’ll want them in the crowd when your moment comes.

  3. Practice Your Story: If your cat isn’t sick of hearing your story by showtime, keep going. The best stories feel natural because they’ve been rehearsed.

  4. Step Into the Focal Point: When the night arrives, it’s your turn. You’ll step into the focal point — the heart of the stage — with nothing but your voice and your story. No props. No notes. Just you, seven minutes, and the audience leaning in.

  5. Who Judges Each Round? The audience does — along with a small panel of judges. Every vote is anonymous, and the winner is revealed with grand fanfare.

  6. What If I Win? Winners are invited back to compete in the All-Stars Story Battle under a new theme, for a shot at becoming the Story Circle Champion.

  7. Share Your Story: All stories are recorded and the best stories are shared online so they live beyond the stage. If yours makes the cut — share it far and wide.

  8. Can I Enter More Than Once? Yes! You can enter as many Story Battles as you like, with fresh stories under new themes. Even past champions can return — but can they hold the crown?

  9. Have a Question? Still unsure? Get in touch and we’ll get back to you.
